Happy to share full video of a Visratek cashew sorting machine built using Headwall hyperspectral sensor and perClass Mira
In this video, you may see the cashew sorting machine, developed by Visratek using Headwall MVX spectral sensor and perClass Mira. The interesting point to make is that, apart of typical foreign objects such as plastic, stone, metal, this machine can also separate different types of nuts. This task is very difficult for classical machine vision operating only with objects color and appearance. Spectral imaging, on the other hand, leverages informative material signatures to perform such complex classification.
