Philips course in Eindhoven
In the week 27 June to 1 July, we gave perClass training course in the High-Tech Campus Eindhoven. We enjoyed a great group of Philips professionals working on very diverse projects such as hyperspectral imaging, wearable electronics and medical devices.
We had lively discussions on many practical topics such as selection of right features, use of meta-data information or handling multi-band images in machine learning.
Deep Learning content was again further extended. This time it included practical exercises based on perClass 5.0 pre-release. Participants were able to train Convolutional neural net classifiers on their own imaging problems and compare the performances with traditional image features such as filter-banks or local histograms.
For us, the teachers, it was very interesting to work with such a knowledgable and professional group, and got a good overview of Philips research campus. We would like to thank all participants for this very intense yet enjoyable week!
