Dear Developer, running the PerClas5.1 and encountered the following warning message.

Warning: Function labindex has the same name as a MATLAB builtin. We suggest
you rename the function to avoid a potential name conflict.
Warning: Function numlabs has the same name as a MATLAB builtin. We suggest you
rename the function to avoid a potential name conflict.

Would you please rename the function names in your next release or can you suggest how to handle this warning?

thanks!

Dear Liwei,

both functions are provided by matconvnet toolbox (included in perClass distribution for training deep networks) for situations when Parallel computing toolbox is not available. If you have it installed, you do not need these functions.

With the latest release = perClass 5.1, this should happen automatically when using sddeepnet command for the first time.
Try to remove all paths related to perclass from your Matlab path and add only the path to perclass directory.  The load any data set with image regions and use sddeepnet command on it (e.g. p=sddeepnet(data)). If you look in the Matlab path, you should not see the compatibility/parallel directory included (if you have parallel computing toolbox).

Does it help?

With Kind Regards,

Pavel
